Malik Muhammad Hanif Awan son of Malik Sahibdad Awan was born on May 5, 1952 in Gujrat. == Political career == Mr. Awan was first elected Member Provinical Assembly (MPA) in 1997 general elections from Sarai Alamgir with PML-N ticket. In 1999 when General Pervez Musharraf took over the power many politician joined hands with Pervez Musharraf and formed new party PML-Q, Mr. Awan was the only politician in Gujrat that stayed loyal to PML-N.
